This is a beautiful early WKC dagger with very nice matching patina to the entire piece. The blade is deeply stamped with the makers trademark and only shows minor runner marks. The under side of the crossguard is stamped “FL. E. A. 16” showing that this was an issued piece from the Luftwaffe and not a private purchase. The engraving appears to mean “Flieger Ersatz Abteilung 16” (Flight Replacement Battalion 16). Leather is also very nice with only minor scuffs, but it is completely intact. Overall a very nice version of one of the earlier 1st model daggers.
