Description
This early silver clamshell has a kneeling Bavarian hunter with rifle and the cross guards show a stag and a hound. Beautiful stag grip which has deep grain. The blade does show some age and has no maker mark and non-engraved, but it does retain a beautiful green washer. The scabbard has an extremely fancy oak leaf acorn lug on the upper fitting. The leather is in very nice condition, though not mint. This piece would have to probably date back to the 1880s or 1890s.
