Description
This bayonet which is probably one of the most unique bayonets in the hobby is exceptional in every way. The blade is given to the retiring company commander and it specifically mentions the Freikorp and his name which is Petsch. Those panels are all blued. The spine of this piece is named to a distributor Neumann out of Berlin. The grip is a beautiful ivory and has 2 floral busses holding it together. The cross guard is a deeply hand chiseled lion and it has a magnificent imperial crowned eagle on the underside of the upper handle. The scabbard is also far from average having filigree work both at the tip and at the throat of the scabbard and also running down the front it has an oak leaf floral leaf pattern with an iron cross adornment.
