On the one side is your standard Eickhorn double eagle engraving which was standard on Eickhorn bayonets. On the reverse is the rarity, which is, it was named to a Pioneer battalion out of Mittenwald. It is in exceptionally nice condition and the town is located in Bavaria. It is a rare mountain unit. That coupled with its overall excellent condition which shows no damage to the upper hilt, cross guard or hilts and a 98% original painted scabbard. With the exception of the threads giving way on the patent leather frog, it would rate excellent plus.
