Description
This cutlass which features a family crest on the front, which appears to be Bavarian, has a massive stag grip and deer foot cross guards. It has an engraved blade which does show age and some damage as it appears it probably was used. It has a couple of decent nicks in it but I know these could be repaired by Tom Wittmann. The blade, which has an early hunting scene motif, again with a lot of deer, hounds, elk, etc. and a hunter is named to a Jager Schraub and dated 1907. The scabbard is in relatively good condition, though it does show some age and some minor creasing.
