Description
Exterior of this dagger is nice, with just your expected wear and nice matching patina. Grip has a very nice inlaid eagle with just a bit of wear to the high spots and the SS roundel looks great. There is a few nicks to the wood and it has a slight crack at the top which runs behind the roundel. Guards have a nice fit and the one is marked with a number 3. Scabbard fits nice, has all screws intact and the fitting look good. The blade is the only real downfall to this dagger which shows wear and spotting throughout the entire piece. The burnishing to the motto and trademark look good and the blade edge has no dings, but as you can see it shows blems. We have priced it accordingly as cleaner pieces go for around $10000.00. Still a nice dagger from one of the rarer makers out there.
