Description
This sword is a shooting prize model which was given in 1933 to a Lt. Gerstung and is made by Eickhorn. The blade is a damascus model the features extensive detailed engraving to both sides and only shows a minimal amount of wear near the tip. The engraved panels were once blue in color, but have faded over time. The hilt is a stunning piece that also shows nice engraving to nearly all edges. The grip is undamaged and has perfect wire wrap. The upper part of the cross guard has a small eagle proof stamped. Overall a beauty of a sword, and a very desirable shooting prize piece that is named.
