Overall this sword is in great condition. The blade is beautiful, bright and straight. Grip retains most of the gold and the paint on scabbard is all original. The interesting part of this sword is the veteran who brought this sword back personalized the scabbard with his name and numbers. Awesome piece to do some research on and see where it has been.
