This short bayonet which has a skull affixed to the grip does appear to have been there for a long time. It is anyone’s guess whether it is original to the bayonet, as I would be remiss in saying it’s not like it can’t be done post-war. This does come out of a long-standing collection. The blade is in exceptionally nice condition. Plating is nice. Grips are perfect. Definitely has never been taken apart. Has original paint on scabbard and a patent leather frog.
