This is an absolutely stunning Government Official dagger. Made by Eickhorn and retains nearly all of the original gold finish. The blade shows all cross grain and has only a bit of wear. The maker mark is clean and the original washer is intact. The cross guard is a very detailed casting and the pommel is as well. The pommel spanner nut is untouched and the mother of pearl grip is mint with no cracks or chips. The scabbard retains nearly all of the gold as well and has no damage at all. This piece is one of the nicest gold models you will ever find and it would be a challenge to find one with more of the original gold finish still remaining.
