Description
This cap is a stunning early model SS Officer version with the earlier style proper M-29 eagle insignia and the jawless skull. Both pieces of insignia are in outstanding overall condition and perfectly affixed to the cap. The body of the cap shows fine black fabric and has a beauty of an Officer chincord. The piping does show 2 smaller moth nips, but not very detracting. Inside the cap shows minimal sweat staining and retains the original sweat diamond with SS runes. Under the sweat band is a fully intact large early style RZM tag. Just a stunning example that was held in a collection for decades and never on the market for sale. You seldom see the early Officer caps for sale, and definitely do not see them in this fine condition.
