Description
This is one amazing piece that just turned up out of the woodwork from a vets son. The sword is your standard SS officer model but has the original owners number engraved on the back side of the grip. The number is 01028 which is to a Leopold Gultler and his number is even earlier than Himmler. His party number was 6275 and he was born in 1892 and he even had his initials engraved to the pommel cap. The entire piece in untouched, uncleaned and has been sitting for decades. The blade is very clean and is a very early model with no maker mark and it measures 34 inches long. Has the standard SS proof stamps to the guard as well as the throat of the scabbard. It also comes with the original knot still tied and the original sword hanger. Amazing sword with a very interesting history.
