Description

Very nice early damascus presentation sword which was presented by the 5th Baden Infantry #113 to a Major Becker. The piece is dated 1873 to 1907 and is a maidenhair damascus style. One side shows the presentation with the WKC trademark and the other side shows a laurel leaf motif. The laurel leaf pattern is also engraved down the spine of the sword and then the entire blade was blued which really gives this a stunning look. The hilt has a very detailed lion head with red ruby eyes and the grip looks to be a ray skin. It is untouched and uncleaned and near mint overall condition. The scabbard fits the piece very nicely and only has one slight dent about a foot from the tip of the scabbard.
