Outstanding overall condition on this helmet. The exterior has the exact finish of original paint that you are looking for with just the dome showing wear from the helmet being laid down on the ground. The SS insignia is very strong with minimal wear and the party sheild shows a bit more wear, but the swastika is completely remaining. Interior has a near perfect liner that is original to the helmet and still very tight. On the one side it has the original owners name in ink that looks like Otto Thieme. The helmet also retains the original chinstrap that shows some wear, but is supple and has no breaks to it. These helmets are getting very hard to find these days, especially clean ones.
