Description
Outstanding look about this helmet with multiple layers of camo colors with white for snow and tan for tropical as the owners transitioned to different climates. Has a nice field used look and was definitely not abused. Has the original liner intact and it is nicely marked by the maker as well as the size stamp. All straps are present and in fine condition and the interior has a nice light sweat staining. On rear of the helmet it was painted with the owners name at one point and can faintly be seen with the name ” Gefreiter Rohl L51948″. It has been almost fully covered with the camo paint at some point, but can still make it out and with a little research we found he was with 2nd Company Pioneer Battalion Fallschirmjager Regiment 1. This unit jumped in Monte Cassino Italy and you ma be able to continue the research to find more info on him. Just a real stunning Helmet that display very nicely and would make a centerpiece to any collection.
