Description
Absolutely stunning overall condition on this sword which is a presentation style piece. The sword has a 31.75 inch blade that is made from a band damascus and has no sharpening. This was presented to a Graf Von Harden in 1887 which is done nicely on a blue and gold panel. It also has a very nice Prussain eagle on the same blue and gold panel. The maker and district marks and clear and marked to the base on the blade and on the spine. The hilt shows extensive hand engraving and all the original gold is still present. The grip is made from ray skin and has a triple wire wrapping and the lion head pommel has ruby eyes. Still retains the leather finger loop and the scabbard fits the piece perfectly.
