Description
One of the nicest Luftwaffe Generals swords you will ever see. Fine overall condition with original bag and sword knot still tied. The piece has a triple engraved blade that shows panels to both sides with Hermann Goring on one and General Sperrle to the other. The hilt shows very ornate engraving and beautiful gold with a bright orange grip. The scabbard leather is near perfect and also has bright gold fittings. Very rare sword named to a very well known figure in the Third Reich. Hugo Sperrle served in WWI as a pilot and then was promoted to Captain. In WWII his air fleet served mainly in the Western front and was a crucial part of the Battle of Britain as well as Battle of France. Please contact for serious inquiries.
