Description
Extremelyt nice flight jacket is a large size 44 and still has the original A2 label and manufacturer tag on the inside collar. Has the original zipper which functions fine and is marked Crown. The jacket originated with the 8th Airforce and on the front has a painted devil. On the back has a naked women with wings and the number 8 behind holding a bomb. This exact jacket is pictured on page 146 in the book American flight jackets. This jacket was worn by Lt. Gene Arnold who was a pilot with the 860th bomb squadron and the 493rd bomb group of the 8th Airforce. He flew 33 bomb missions, the research paper for this jacket is in the lower left pocket. A real piece of us history.
